Welcome to the Heath Court

COVID-19 Update

National lockdown: stay at home

(updated 4 January 2021)

  • You must stay at home. This is the single most important action we can all take to protect the NHS and save lives.
  • You must not leave, or be outside of your home except where necessary. You may leave the home to:
  • Shop for basic necessities, for you or a vulnerable person
  • go to work, or provide voluntary or charitable services, if you cannot reasonably do so from home
  • exercise with your household (or support bubble) or one other person, this should be limited to once per day, and you should not travel outside your local area.
  • meet your support bubble or childcare bubble where necessary, but only if you are legally permitted to form one
  • seek medical assistance or avoid injury, illness or risk of harm (including domestic abuse)
  • attend education or childcare - for those eligible
  • Stay 2 metres apart from anyone not in your household or bubble.
Suffolk, like the rest of the country, is in a national lockdown due to rising infection rates of COVID-19. This means much more tighter restrictions on what you can do to stop the spread of COVID-19. This includes most pupils being schooled at home. Everyone must play their role in tackling COVID-19 and taking action to stop the spread.

GOV.UK - National lockdown: stay at home

Our Accommodation reopened on Monday 11 January 2021, taking reservations for those who meet the current criteria for travel

2020 has been a difficult time for all businesses, especially the Hospitality sector, where possible we would ask that you 'Book Direct' or via Best Western, by booking with us directly we are able to manage your booking and easily make any amendments. For any reservations made via a third party OTA  (Booking.com, Expedia Etc.) any amendments to your reservation will need to be processed through the agent you made your reservation with and not directly with the Hotel.

On behalf of the entire Team at the Heath Court, we thank you for your custom and look forward to welcoming you back.

Kind regards,

Robert

General Manager

We have been working hard for the past few months to ensure that the Hotel is ready to receive you and would like to share with you some of the measures you will see, which are rigorously maintained to keep you, your fellow guests and our team safe.

On arrival, you will notice that we have installed a Perspex screen at Reception and directional and social distancing  guidance, we would ask that you respect these at all times.

All Guests, and our team are required to have their temperature taken upon entering the Hotel and for those that are not resident, we will be taking contact details to assist with Track & Trace (when permitted by Tier Levels).

From Monday 9 August all guests have been required to wear Face Coverings in public areas and when not seated at a table in our Public Areas, including the Bar, Lounge and Restaurant.  Please maintain the recommended two-metre distance from others where possible. When using the lift, we ask that you allow the guest in front to travel alone.

Our staff are trained and disciplined in good hygiene practices.

We are pleased to announce that in partnership and collaboration with Best Western and Quality in Tourism (QiT) we have undergone an external audit of our hygiene practices across the guest journey, to ensure compliance to the highest standards and meet the needs under the present circumstances.

Experience the difference at Heath Court, set in a prime location, just 300 yards from the centre of Newmarket and standing at the bottom of Newmarket's Warren Hill Gallops; where horses can be seen training daily.

Whether you are travelling for business or enjoying a few days away, you will love the professional, friendly atmosphere of this comfortable hotel which offers great value for money and the best of modern amenities.

With easy access to Cambridge, Ely and Bury St Edmunds and the nearby, and after a day’s exploring, you’ll find everything you need at the hotel for a relaxing stay - it’s a true home from home!
